so those with substituted labor better hope it clears before april 2007, and they get to file i140 otherwise..they'll have to file a new labor..just hope DOL does not let them keep the old priority date..Im not being vindictive..just feel that its unfair that people buy labors for 20K and get green card using a shell company in 6 months.

If my GC gets rejected 3-4 years from now for any reason (however weird or stupid) then I don't think I would go through the whole GC nightmare once again.
Since this is my last GC application, I would rather use whatever benefits I have to the fullest then simply waste them. ;)

Does anyone know recent EB2 approvals with B.Sc., B.Com degree from India (Even with M.Sc. , MBA, MCA etc). I thought they stopped approving such cases long back.

Nothing for Me. I have neighbor trying to Go to EB2. B.SC. M. Tech. from IISC. Still he has to go though EB3 line. If they are still approving I can tell him.

As your lawyer used the words "change of employer petition", it seems that one can use AP to travel and still after coming back he/she can file for either extension, amendment or transfer. This answers the main concern that I started this thread for.
Also, on other threads I read that its possible to file H1 amendement even if your H1 is still valid. This is one way to come back to H1 status and get a New I-94 card.
Some one also mentioned that if you have a valid I-797 extenstion approval notice and if you show that at POE to IO, he/she may issue an I-94 till expiry of I-797 (3 years) instead of AP (1 year).
I would appreciate input from others who have some knowledge or experience of above situations.

NC process usually start 1 or 2 weeks after Notice date(this you will get in Receipt Notice). So it's more than 4 years. Wow it's bad.
I filed 485 in Sep 2003.
First Finger Print is done in Aug 2004.
Second Finger Print is done in April 2007.
Took Infopass on Sep 11th 2007 and I was told by Officer that everything looks good but still pending and asked me to check after 2 months.
Took Infopass again on Nov 13th 2007 and came to know that FBI Name Check is Pending on my and my wife's cases.
How do I know how long FBI Name Check is Pending on my case ?

I know out of 3000 members, atleast 2500 would be looking at some forums in this site and posting some messages. WHy dont we show some single, double, triple,... up to 5 stars next to the username based on the contributions.

up to 50$ 2 stars,

I don`t think, that beside a miracle, the CIR will pass before the end of the year.
I am little bit more positive about the future, why:
- Immigration is the only point where you can find an agreement btwn Bush and the Dems, so to honor this new clime about bipartisan, immigration will be the only point to do it.
-There was an article in the Business week where they are already discussing about the sign ceremony
-Latino voters: not so important NOW, but they growing and 70% voted Blue.
- Watch out the senator of California, Fiengsten, she will fight any skill bill.
- Be positive, Hastert and Sensebrener has gone, they were the worse!

As per my research and talking to customer service of few american and india insurance companies, You are partly right that no one covers pre-existing conditions.
But indian companies like Icici lombard, Bajaj allianz, tata aig etc cover emergency life saving treatment even if it was due to the pre-existing conditions. Which means if one is diabetic, reguler sugar check and doc vists will not be covered but if say patients develops a critical condition (e.g kideny failure etc) then the treatment is covered.
But american companies do not cover even the emergency treatment.

At least for the consultation phase hire a good lawyer, there are scores of lawsuits filed each year but as long there was no life threatening injuries in an accident you can get out of it. This should not be a criminal conviction and should not hurt your gc process. Again I am just assuming the back up ended in some dent to the other persons vehicle or were they walking and you hit them there were injuries involved.

Senator Obama, as the President of the United States, what will you do, so that the voice of the people can be heard and their problems solved instead of selected powerful groups bullying the lawmakers?"
Please vote. We need have people talking about our problems. We need to bring awareness about the difference between legal and illegal immigration. The likes of Dobbs often confuse the two.
